In 2007, Jeremy Cosgrove started as a driller's assistant on a Queensland rig floor. He learned the work — the noise, the pressure, the real reasons people get hurt — before he ever wrote a procedure about it.
That foundation now underpins an international HSE career spanning Australia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Qatar: building complete HSE functions for greenfield startups, advising executive leadership teams, transforming safety cultures across multicultural workforces, and putting AI and digital platforms to work on the oldest problem in drilling — systemising the chaos.
Today he leads HSE for BHDC's drilling operations in Qatar, serving QatarEnergy — bringing frontline credibility to every boardroom conversation, and boardroom strategy to every rig visit.
"Procedures don't keep people safe. People keep people safe — procedures just tell you where the line is."
